Readers of the USA’s prestigious Travel and Leisure Magazine have voted The Observatory Hotel in Sydney in the top three hotels throughout Australia, New Zealand and the South Pacific for offering the ‘World’s Best Service’.
The results feature in the June 2006 issue.
The ranking was based on reader evaluations collected in the 2005 World’s Best Awards Survey, with The Observatory gaining a score of 92.86 and the only city property to feature in the top three.
Doyen of the Sydney hotel sector, General Manager Patrick Griffin, who has run The Observatory since it opened in 1993 and was instrumental in designing and upholding the hotel’s service standards said, “We strive to offer our guests a style of service that encompasses genuine warmth and understanding, a style of service where nothing is ever too much trouble and a style that helps our guests to feel right at home each time they stay with us”.
He added, “I would like to thank our wonderful staff team for their dedication in providing world renowned service and this award is due to their devotion and willingness to provide the best possible service to every guest, everyday.”
