Sunday, 21 Apr, 2005 0

ABTA is one of eight industry bodies who have signed up for a new global alliance.

The World Travel Agents Associations Alliance (WTAAA) includes agency bodies from the UK, US, Germany, Australia, Canada, New Zealand and Southern Africa plus the European Travel Agents’ and Tour Operators Association (ECTAA).

Australia is holding the first presidency of the group with Australian Federation of Travel Agents chief executive Mike Hatton taking the role for the first year.

The WTAAA expects to have input on a range of travel and tourism-related issues including air transport, cruise line and hotel policy.
