ACTA appoints new president

The Board of Directors for the Association of Canadian Travel Agencies has appointed Wendy Paradis as its next president.
Paradis takes over as head of ACTA on May 9 and brings more than 30 years’ experience in travel, tourism and association service.
"’I have deep respect for the important role travel agencies play in creating exceptional experiences for Canadian travelers, and look forward to working closely with the ACTA team, board of directors and members across the country,"’ Paradis said.
She previously served as senior vice president of the Ontario Tourism Education Corporation and held leadership positions at Eaton’s Travel, Marlin Travel, The Thomas Cook Group and CAA Travel.
During her career she has worked across all functions in travel agency sales and operations including leisure sales, corporate and conference services.
