Advantage Focus renews TelMe Farebase deal
Advantage business travel agents have gained access to centrally negotiated net fares following the renewal of a technology deal with TelMe Farebase.
The agreement led to the creation of the Focus4Fares distribution system for Advantage Focus Partnership agents, giving them net fares access irrespective of which GDS the member uses.
The full solution makes use of TelMe’s Scriptwise data management company to load and maintain the deals as well as allowing agents to automatically generate their own ticketing entries.
The number of users of the Focus4Fares system has doubled from 44 members to more than 80 as the Focus Partership sought a response to reductions in airline commissions.
Advantage business travel director Norman Gage said: “The world has moved on a great deal since the Focus Group concept was born and the relationship we have developed with TelMe Farebase has stood the test of time.
“I can’t say where the future lies but today TelMe have proved, against some strong competition, that they continue to be the right partners for this project.”
TelMe Farebase managing director Peter Muller added: “The Focus Partnership’s consistently innovative approach to fares distribution has pushed us to develop a truly industry leading product. We look forward to developing Focus4Fares further alongside Advantage to support the success they have had in the last three years.”
