Air China will open two new direct routes this summer linking Beijing with Astana, Kazakhstan and Zurich.
Three times a week Beijing-Astana flights will launch on June 1, and coincides with the 2017 World Expo which is being held in the Kazakh capital.
The Beijing-Zurich route will operate four times weekly and starts on June 7, Air China said.
The airline already flies to Swiss city Geneva.
China and Switzerland recently agreed to launch the 2017 "Sino-Swiss Year of Tourism.
Both routes are operated by Airbus A330-200 aircraft.
"Operating from our three hubs in Beijing, Chengdu and Shanghai, we plan to improve connections to a number of destinations in Europe, America, Asia, Africa and Australasia. China’s One Belt One Road initiative has also created new opportunities for us to expand our international route network," said Air China’s vice president Ma Chongxian.
