Amadeus signs Holiday Autos deal

Holiday Autos product is to be bookable through a GDS for the first time.

The Lastminute-owned car rental provider has signed an exclusive deal with Amadeus to enable the GDS to distribute its product through travel agents.

Agents will be able to book Holiday Autos product through Amadeus Cars from this autumn.

Amadeus will continue to distribute Hertz, Avis and Europcar product but a spokesman for the company told TravelMole Holiday Autos was a key product for the leisure market because of its pre-pay all-inclusive model.

Holiday Autos has access to 750,000 cars across 4,000 global locations, making it the world’s largest leisure car rental broker.

More than 70% of its business is transacted online.
