Amex retains major retailer’s account
American Express Business Travel has retained the UK business travel account of retailer Marks & Spencer following a competitive tender.
M&S has agreed to extend its UK agreement with a multi-year deal, with the inclusion of its rail business alongside the existing air and Eurostar business.
“Following the completion of our recent tender and service changes implemented, we feel confident that American Express will still be able to deliver a great service and work closely with us on strategic business plans that will help us gain better value under this new contract,†said Sejul Shah, M&S travel procurement manager.
Paul Hargreaves, vice president and general manager, Business Travel UK & Ireland and Global Foreign Exchange Services, added: “Our key focus will be on driving down costs and creating even more value in the programme.â€
