Another earthquake has hit New Zealand’s South Island, with 7,000 people believed to have felt the 5.5 magnitude quake.
The earthquake hit 30 kilometres east of Seddon, in the South Island’s Marlborough wine region.
Aftershocks have already been reported.
One resident said the quake shook the area violently for up to 15 seconds.
The earthquake comes a month after the 7.8 magnitude earthquake hit the South Island, north of Christchurch, in which two people died and caused billions of dollars in damage.
