Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport is still the world’s busiest passenger airport, according to the latest figures.

More than 101 million people passed through the airport last year, 5.5% more than in 2014, said the Airports Council International’s 2015 World Airport Traffic Report.

Atlanta has held the title of the world’s busiest airport for the last 18 years, but earlier this year announced that it would prefer to be known as the ‘most traveled to’ airport, to rid itself of any negative connotations.

Beijing Airport stayed in second place in the world list, with 89.9 million passengers, 4.4% up on 2014.

Dubai, which was the sixth busiest passenger airport in 2014, jumped into third position in 2015 thanks to a 10.7% rise in traffic.

Meanwhile, Chicago O’Hare moved from seventh to fourth position in 2015, thanks to 9.8% growth in passenger numbers.
