Avianca is ramping up schedules with more than 20 new routes across the Americas. It includes new direct links to the US from Costa Rica with services from San Jose to New York and Los Angeles.
Cali in Colombia will also get a direct flight to New York,while a new Bogota-Toronto route will launch. The new services will begin later this year or in 2022.
The airline, which remains in Chapter 11 bankruptcy proceedings, is also launching more routes from Ecuador, El Salvador and Guatemala.
