BA apologises for not making Dutch announcements at Brussels

British Airways has apologised for failing to give on board announcements in Dutch when landing at Brussels Airport.

The airline was forced to say sorry after the matter was raised in the Flemish Parliament, according to a report on website Expatica.com.

Politician Lieve Maes singled out BA when complaining that some airlines failed to make on-board announcements in Dutch even though this was the official language at the airport.

The airline blamed a technical fault, insisting it usually gives announcements at Brussels in English, French and Dutch.
