Bermuda Tourism Authority to sponsor TravelMole Yacht Regatta
Building on its success as chosen host of the 35th America’s Cup in 2017, the Bermuda Tourism Authority has been announced as sponsor of this year’s prestigious TravelMole sailing regatta.
The travel trade networking regatta sailing day takes place on July 9, with 10 yachts competing in five races around the Solent off the coastline of Southern England.
Up for grabs at the 6th Travel Industry Yacht Regatta’ is the coveted ‘McKenzie Cup.’

Bermuda has a storied sailing heritage and, as the next home of the America’s Cup, is undergoing significant development to provide world class facilities for the event.
The Old Naval Dockyard is being transformed into a race village and all-weather entertainment venue, while several hotels are receiving a makeover, such as the $90 million upgrade at the Hamilton Princess Resort and Beach Club.
The first stages of competition leading up to the big event in 2017 begin this summer.
The America’s Cup World Series Racing includes events in Portsmouth, England, on July 23-26 and Bermuda on October 16-18.
