Business travel platform BizAway has expanded its European footprint with the acquisition of Dutch travel management company (TMC) Uniglobe Alliance Travel, strengthening its presence in the Benelux region.
The deal, effective since July 1, 2026, marks another step in BizAway’s strategy to build a leading pan-European business travel company through a combination of local expertise, proprietary technology and personalized customer support.
Founded in 2006, Uniglobe Alliance Travel is one of the Netherlands’ leading TMCs. The company operates five offices in Rotterdam, Arnhem, Goes, Almere and Alkmaar, serving a broad portfolio of corporate clients with tailored business travel services.
The acquisition gives BizAway an established local presence in the Dutch market while expanding its international office network. BizAway said the integration combines Uniglobe Alliance Travel’s extensive market knowledge and long-standing client relationships with its own technology platform, in-house travel experts and growing global network.
“We have been looking for the right partner in the Benelux region for some time, and in Alliance Travel we have found exactly that,” said Luca Carlucci, CEO of BizAway. “They have built something genuinely impressive: a loyal client base, a skilled and dedicated team, and a reputation built on quality of service. Our ambition is to build on that foundation.”
No change for Uniglobe Alliance Travel at least until year end
Carlucci added that the acquisition strengthens BizAway’s position in both the Netherlands and the wider European market.
“It allows us to continue serving medium and large companies in the region with an even stronger business travel proposition, combining technology, human support and international reach.“
For customers and suppliers, the transition is expected to be seamless. Uniglobe Alliance Travel will continue operating under its existing brand as part of the BizAway Group and within the Uniglobe Travel network through the end of 2026.
Byron Bentley will remain Commercial Director, while client contracts, service agreements and daily operations will remain unchanged.
The transaction is backed by Mayfair Equity Partners, which supports BizAway’s long-term expansion strategy. The company has been pursuing acquisitions and organic growth to strengthen its position across Europe’s fragmented corporate travel market, where technology-driven platforms are increasingly competing with traditional travel management companies.
