British tourists freed by kidnappers in Egypt

Two British tourists who were kidnapped in Egypt on their way to Sharm El Sheikh resort have been freed.

According to the BBC, the pair were a husband and wife aged 51 and 49 and were in a car travelling from Cairo to the popular beach resort.

It is believed the kidnappers had demanded the release of four people held over arms trafficking.
