Carnival Cruise Line may be forced to shift operations to overseas homeports
Carnival Cruise Line says it may be forced to seek new overseas homeports to be able to restart operations and generate much-needed revenue.
Extending its pause of all operations out of U.S. ports through 30 June, the line said it is mulling a ‘return to service solution’ that may mean a fly-cruise vacation for US customers.
"While we have not made plans to move Carnival Cruise Line ships outside of our U.S. homeports, we may have no choice but to do so in order to resume our operations which have been on ‘pause’ for over a year, President Christine Duffy said.
