Cash injection for Splendia to fund expansion

Thursday, 17 April 20083 min read

Hotel booking website Splendia has secured an injection of funds from Crédit Agricole Private Equity of €3 million.

This is in addition to an original investment by Alven Capital, which has invested €2 million since 2006 to help finance Splendia’s international growth.

Splendia, which operates a hotel booking website for “luxury and character hotels”, now has a selection of more than 1,750 hotels worldwide.

It claims its turnover has doubled yearly to reach €27 million in 2007.

It said the funds from Crédit Agricole Private Equity will help the company expand in America and Asia and support marketing strategies to ensure greater customer loyalty.
