Celebrity Ascent makes European cruise debut

Celebrity Cruises’ newest ship Celebrity Ascent has made its Europe cruise debut.

The ship recently arrived in Barcelona and is on a nine-night Italian Riviera and France itinerary.

It will sail 7- to 12-night cruises around the Mediterranean calling at Civitavecchia, Athens, Naples, Marseilles and more.

Itineraries take in Spain, Greece, Italy, Portugal and Turkey.

“We’re bringing our latest and greatest Edge Series ship for Europe cruises, enabling guests to discover this diverse region with Celebrity Ascent’s premium facilities,” says Laura Hodges Bethge, Celebrity Cruises President.

Celebrity Ascent houses the cruise line’s Edge Series amenities including 32 restaurants, bars, and lounges and cantilevered multi-purpose venue ‘The Magic Carpet.’

It features The Retreat, complete with a private restaurant, lounge area and two-storey sundeck exclusive to Retreat guests.

Celebrity Ascend introduces new live productions and augmented gaming experiences with three brand-new production shows in The Theatre using state-of-the-art technology.
