Classic offer: fly free, cruise back to Fremantle
SYDNEY – Classic International Cruises and Creative Cruising are offering free flights to Greece for Australians who book a 34-night voyage back to Australia this November
The offer is available until August 31 with passengers able to fly to Athens from Sydney, Perth, Brisbane and Melbourne with Austrian Airlines and partner airlines.
On arrival in Athens on November 14, passengers will spend a night onboard the classic-styled Athena before sailing the following day to Fremantle via Gallipoli, where Athena will become the first Australia-based ship to dock at the historic war site in Turkey, and also Egypt, Thailand, Malaysia and Singapore.
The 35-day trip is priced from $6247 per person, twin-share, from Sydney and Melbourne and $6322 from Brisbane, including the frozen brochure cruise fare of $5995 for a category four ocean-view cabin, the free flight to Athens, gratuities and air taxes, all onboard meals and entertainment and a domestic Qantas flight from Perth back to Sydney, Melbourne or Brisbane.
From Perth, the fly/cruise package is available from the unchanged cruise brochure fare of $5995 per person, twin-share, leaving the flight to Athens free.
“You sometimes see free overseas flights offered for cruises but the cruise fare is often very high to cover the cost but we haven’t raised our cruise fares one cent to cover this offer so it’s a genuine offer,†said Classic International Cruises managing director, Grant Hunter.
Athena’s line voyage from Athens to Fremantle will be the first of the ship’s 16 cruises to and from Fremantle and Adelaide this summer.
