Cruise industry veteran and Cruise Lines International Association Hall of Famer Maurice Zarmati has joined Carnival’s newest brand Fathom.
He will work in a consultant capacity optimizing marketing tools for travel trade partners.
"Maurice has been a trusted adviser to Carnival Corporation and me for more than four decades, beginning in 1972 when my father invited Maurice to be among the small group of founding members of the Carnival Cruise Lines team," said Micky Arison, chairman of Carnival Corp.
"I look forward to Maurice’s wealth of industry expertise furthering the success of this new category of cruise being pioneered by Fathom."
During a four-decade long career Zarmati served as Carnival Cruise Line’s vice president of sales and was more recently CEO of Costa North America.
According to Carnival Corp CEO Arnold Donald, Zarmati has ‘an insider’s perspective on the exciting journey from start-up to industry-leading global venture.’
"His insight and relationships are a great addition to our Fathom team," Donald said.
