Delta has banned more than 200 anti-maskers

Delta Air Lines says its anti-masker blacklist continues to grow.

The airline says it has banned about 240 passengers for defying its mandatory mask rule while aboard planes.

When that happens passengers are banned from flying until the Covid-19 crisis ends.

"Although rare, we continue to put passengers who refuse to follow the required face-covering rules on our no-fly list," Delta CEO Ed Bastian told employees in a memo.

Delta started a relaxed version of the no-mask, no-fly policy in June, and in just the last few weeks the number added to the no-fly list has more than doubled.

Masks are allowed to be removed only when eating or drinking.

"As we all work toward the recovery, it’s vital that we continue to stay focused on the drive to provide the safest, cleanest airports, aircraft and workspaces possible," Bastion added.

Delta’s mask policy extends to wearing one at check-in, at the boarding gate and in Delta Sky Club lounges.
