Dominica names CEO for tourism
The Discover Dominica Authority has appointed Steve Bornn as the organisation’s first chief executive officer and director of tourism.
In this new position, Bornn will be responsible for developing a tourism strategy and marketing plan and promoting the Dominica destination brand.
“My previous experience with other Caribbean destinations has prepared me well for the position,” said Bornn.
“It will be my ultimate goal to establish the Discover Dominica Authority as one of the premier tourism boards in the region.”
Bornn previously served as director of marketing for the US Virgin Islands Department of Tourism where he implemented the ‘No Passport Required’ campaign and helped establish St. Croix as a stand-alone destination.
Located between the French West Indies islands of Guadeloupe and Martinique in the Eastern Caribbean, the independent nation of Dominica is the largest and most mountainous of the Windward Islands.
