Her contribution transformed the region into one of Vietnam’s historic centers of silk production, leaving a legacy that continues to define the neighborhood surrounding West Lake today.

That story forms the heart of the hotel’s identity. Throughout the hotel, traditional Vietnamese craftsmanship is literally woven into a modern luxury setting.
Rather than recreating a royal palace, architects and designers imagined what a contemporary residence inspired by Princess Tu Hoa might look like. Soft, flowing architectural lines echo silk, from the shape of the lifts looking like cocoons to the wall reproducing skein or spool of silk threads.
Muted earth tones, handcrafted materials and locally inspired textures create an atmosphere that feels elegant without being ostentatious. Most impressive is indeed the art collection which relates mostly to the Princess and her achievements. More than 300 original works are displayed across the hotel, creating what feels like a living gallery. Silk paintings, oil canvases, ceramics and contemporary sculptures celebrate Vietnamese creativity while telling stories of women, artisans and centuries of cultural evolution.
The Gallery Lounge serves as the centerpiece of this collection, inviting guests to enjoy afternoon tea surrounded by artworks. Signature installations, including the “Legendary Wall” and the Tu Hoa Palace collection, encourage visitors to explore the history behind the legend.

Exquisite and understated elegance
Accommodation reflects also the silk thematic with elements remembering that tradition. From Superior Rooms to spacious One-Bedroom Suites, all feature an elegant, never ostentatious comfort including smart televisions, high-speed Wi-Fi, Japanese-style toilets and for junior suites beautiful rounded bathtub with a view over the lake or Hanoi’s skyline.
Rooms are particularly large : the smaller option offers 28 m² of space while suites provide at least a 53m² space. Two Bedroom Suites with balcony go up to 63m².
Dusit Hotels Group is known for its fantastic gastronomy. The Hanoi property makes no exception to it. Soi Kitchen showcases contemporary Thai cuisine, honoring Dusit’s heritage with authentic flavors and modern presentation.
