Budget hotel group easyHotel has conditionally acquired the 250-year leasehold for a building in Leeds and hopes to convert it into a hotel.
The purchase of the city centre building, 14-22 Lands Lane, is subject to obtaining planning permission.
The group plans to convert it into a 94-room easyHotel, expected to open in 2018.
The total cost of the purchase and conversion of the building will be around £5 million.
