EasyJet to serve Munich from Edinburgh

Thursday, 20 Nov, 2006 0

Flights to Munich from Edinburgh are to be offered by easyJet from next April.

Other routes from the Scottish city are also due to be unveiled.

Fares for the daily service start at £21.99 one-way and go on sale next month when the budget airline releases its summer 2007 schedule.

The new route will give the airline nine destinations from Edinburgh and represents a five per cent increase in capacity.

EasyJet expects to carry almost 100,000 passengers on the Munich service in the first 12 months.

UK commercial general manager David Osborne said: “This new route is the first step in easyJet’s expansion plans for Edinburgh in 2007 and we look forward to announcing more new routes in the coming weeks.”
