Emirates 2006 FIFA World Cup packages
As the kick-off for the 2006 FIFA World Cup™ in June gets ever closer match tickets are proving harder and harder to come by. However, passengers purchasing Emirates FIFA packages to any of the airline’s European destinations will receive complimentary match tickets to the game of their choice including the final – subject to availability.
That means that Emirates passengers travelling to the UK, France, Russia, Turkey, Switzerland, Austria, Italy, Cyprus, Malta, Greece and, of course,Germany, on an Emirates FIFA package will receive a complimentary match ticket for the 2006 FIFA World Cup™.
These Emirates FIFA packages were previously only available to customers flying Emirates to Germany, Switzerland and Austria, but have now been extended to all European cities to satisfy customer demand.
This initiative is a part of Emirates ongoing commitment to its customers and was intrinsic to the airline’s involvement as an Official Partner of the 2006 FIFA World Cup.
Eddie Lim, Emirates Area Manager Australia said: “Emirates has consistently stated its position as a committed supporter of sport and sporting sponsorships as a way to reach our customers and to share their passion and excitement for sport.”
“What better way could we demonstrate this than by offering our passengers complimentary FIFA World Cup™ match tickets when they book packages to Europe with us? We are extremely happy to be able to extend this initiative to all of our European destinations and offer our passengers the opportunity to experience the FIFA World Cup excitement for themselves.”
Emirates has worked tirelessly with FIFA on putting together these unprecedented deals which offer football fans a choice of flights to four German cities with hundreds of hotels to chose from in the 12 FIFA host cities.
On the 1st of March Emirates increased its services to Germany with a daily flight to Hamburg – a host city for the 2006 FIFA World Cup™ – offering football fans around the world greater choice and flexibility when they are making their travel plans for the tournament. Emirates will also increase its flights to Düsseldorf on May 1st, which will see the airline fly twice daily to the city.
While these packages are selling well, customers around the world can still take advantage of the Dubai-based airline’s special deals to watch the 2006 FIFA World Cup™. These packages, starting from AUD$4,171 per person, include Emirates flights to any of the airline’s European destinations; two nights’ accommodation from a choice of one of 12 cities where 2006 FIFA World Cup™ matches are being played, and a complimentary match ticket to any of the games, including the final, subject to availability.
