Engine trouble led to an unplanned New Year stay in American Samoa for 300 Australia bound passengers.
United Airlines flight 839 from LA had to divert to Pago Pago in the Pacific.
“We’re making use of our facilities in American Samoa, including hotel options to accommodate our customers,” United said
