Face masks compulsory on all Singapore Airlines flights
The Civil Aviation Authority of Singapore has rolled out new regulations mandating face masks on all flights.
Effective now, it applies to passengers on all Singapore based carriers including national carrier Singapore Airlines, Silkair, and Scoot.
Additionally, all passengers for inbound flights must submit a health declaration form at check-in.
Temperature screening is being conducted at check-in and any passengers with higher than normal temperature will be denied boarding.
The airlines must ensure passengers observe safe distancing when boarding and disembarking aircraft.
Normal meal service has been suspended on flights within Southeast Asia and to China.
Only 10 of SIA Group’s fleet of 200 aircraft are currently in service.
Face mask wearing at airports and on flights are compulsory at a growing number of airlines including Emirates, Air Canada and most US carriers.
