Flight Centre UK offers up shops to help with Covid vaccine rollout
Flight Centre UK is offering up its unused shops as space for the new Covid vaccine rollout.
In a tweet to Prime Minister Boris Johnson and Health Secretary Matt Hancock, the agency chain said its unused shops would be the ‘ideal space right now’ to help with the new vaccine rollout, in addition to its back-of-house kitchens and fridge space.
Flight Centre’s offer to help comes as the newly-approved coronavirus vaccine created by Oxford University and AstraZeneca is rolled out across the UK today.
It comes in response to a similar offer to help by James Watt, CEO of Scottish brewers BrewDog, who have offered up all their bars to help with the vaccine rollout.
Flight Centre Head of Retail Marketing Yvonne Hobden tweeted: "Incredible idea @BrewDogJames, we’d love to offer up our shops too! Our shops are going unused right now, and with back-of-house kitchens, fridges and plenty of space, we reckon they’d be the ideal vaccination space. We want to help with the rollout."
