Foreign Office warns of Mauritius burglaries

The Foreign Office has updated its travel advice for Mauritius, warning of a spate of burglaries at villas where holidaymakers have been staying.

It told visitors to make sure their accommodation and hotel rooms are secure.

“Avoid renting accommodation that isn’t registered with the Mauritius Tourism Authority,” it said.
