France considering tougher curbs for UK travellers
France is mulling stricter rules for UK travellers due to the spread of the Indian Covd-19 variant. Following moves by Germany for the same reason, France may impose ‘slightly tougher’ measures, says French foreign affairs minister, Jean-Yves Le Drian.
He said the UK could end up in a health category on its own which would be less strict than red list style countries such as India but with more restrictions than the EU and some other lower risk nations.
It will keep monitoring the situation before making a decision, the minister said.
