Frontier Airlines launching 42 new domestic routes

Wednesday, 08 Jan, 2016 0
Low cost carrier Frontier Airlines has announced dozens of new routes nationwide from April, with introductory fares starting at $39 one-way to kick it off.

There will be 42 new routes in all including two from Austin to Orlando and Philadelphia, new services from Houston to Atlanta and Cincinnati, four new destinations from Phoenix and three new routes each from Kansas City, Milwaukee, Nashville, Portland and Raleigh/Durham.

"Travelers between big cities have enjoyed low fares while many markets have remained overpriced and underserved," said Frontier president Barry Biffle.

"Frontier’s low fares in these new markets will benefit millions of new fliers who are forced to drive because they haven’t found affordable air travel options — or they simply stay at home."

Frontier says it is bringing fare savings of up to 70% to these new markets based on existing average fares.

"We see hundreds of additional opportunities like these throughout the country, fueling our growth for years to come," Biffle added

Most of the new routes begin service in April with the remainder taking off in May or June as the carrier awaits delivery of new aircraft on order.
