Fusion plans to triple presence in Vietnam
Resort group Fusion is significantly ramping up its presence in Vietnam with the roll out of 10 new hotels and resorts.
The wellness focused company will triple its portfolio in Vietnam by adding 1,385 rooms and private villas, suites, and apartments.
It is also launching two new brands called the food-focused Maia brand, and HIIVE, which is aimed at business travellers.
The expansion will include entry into up and coming tourist areas.
"We see a tremendous opportunity to expand Fusion’s presence in the country, recognising that there are so many largely undeveloped destinations in Vietnam," said Peter Meyer, CEO of Fusion.
First up is Fusion Suites Vung Tau, which is set to open in early 2020, with 100 apartments and 71 suites, a spa, and rooftop infinity pool.
New properties are coming to Danang and Ho Chi Minh City.
Maia Quy Nhon is a new departure for the company, which expands its wellness concept into sustainable food.
The brand will host various programs from local food tours, cooking classes and pop-up dining.
The property is set to open in mid-2020.
HIIVE a three-star-plus brand will target business travellers with hotels in Vietnam’s industrial zones and semi urban locations.
Five HIIVE hotels are being developed over the next three years in four locations – Binh Duong and Dong Nai near Ho Chi Minh City, Bac Ninh, east of Hanoi, and Hai Phong, on the northern coast.
