Go and EasyJet passenger numbers rise

Go and EasyJet have both reported an increase in passenger traffic in January.

Go said passenger traffic rose 74.2 per cent year-on-year with 319,300 passengers in January compared with 183,315 a year earlier. January’s load factor was 61.6 per cent compared with 55.8 per cent a year ago.

EasyJet said passenger volumes in January rose by 30.7 per cent year-on-year. Passenger traffic rose to 700,526 compared with 539,929 a year before. The airline’s load factor, the share of seats sold, rose to 81.9 per cent from 74.3 per cent a year ago.

On Tuesday, Ryanair reported a rise in final quarter profits and record growth in passenger volumes.
