The government has been accused of dragging its feet on corporate reforms to be made in response to the collapse of Thomas Cook last October. More than 20,000 workers lost their jobs as a result of its failure, including 9,000 in the UK, and there was anger that the holiday firm’s executives got away with more than £20 million in pay and bonuses in the years leading up to its collapse.
