Sustainability certification firm Green Tourism has formed a strategic partnership with Travel Counsellors.
The collaboration is a response to increasing consumer demand for sustainable travel experiences.
It will help Travel Counsellors’ direct contract hotels gain Green Tourism’s internationally recognised sustainability certification.
Green Tourism’s standard, is recognised by the Global Sustainable Tourism Council (GSTC).
It allows businesses to demonstrate credible engagement with sustainability issues to leisure and corporate guests.

Participating hotels will be guided through the process, from energy efficiency and carbon footprint reduction to water conservation.
Other benefits to partners include 10% off Green Tourism’s annual fees for the lifetime of membership, third-party verification, and tailored guidance for continual improvement in responsible tourism practises.
