Grenada Tourism Authority appoints new chairman
Grenadian entrepreneur Randall Dolland is the new chairman of the Board of Directors of the Grenada Tourism Authority (GTA).
Dolland’s appointment by Grenada’s new Minister of Tourism Lennox Andrews follows recent general elections across the Spice Isle.
The GTA is responsible for the development of the tourism sector of Grenada, Carriacou, and Petite Martinique.
“I’m truly honored to serve as board chairman as for many years I’ve been a stakeholder in this industry and can intimately relate to the challenges currently impacting the industry,” said Dolland, a previous sales and marketing manager for the former Flamboyant Hotel.
“In this role, I look forward to partnering with all stakeholders and strategic partners to move our tourism agenda forward,” he added.
Dr. George Vincent will serve as Deputy Chairman, while additional members of the board include Orlando Romain, Dr. Charles Modica, Jacqueline Alexis,and Marlon Glean.
The 11-member GTA board represents several sectors of the industry.
In recent weeks, the Spice Isle’s tourism team has been busy strengthening its ties with airline partners, as well as promoting sports and culinary tourism.
