Holland America Line’s new 2,044-passenger ‘Signature Class’ ship is to be named Eurodam.

Due for delivery in summer 2008, the $450 million vessel will mark HAL’s next class of ships and will be the largest ever constructed for the premium line at 86,000 tonnes.

Eurodam will have 1,022 double occupancy cabins, with 86% offering sea views, of which 67% will have balconies.

With 11 passenger decks, new innovations include a 144-seat Pan-Asian restaurant and 50-seat lounge surrounded by panoramic views overlooking the ocean and swimming pool.

The line has an option for a second Signature Class vessel which would be delivered in spring 2010.
