Holland America Line is halting port calls in Acapulco through 2018 due to ongoing fears of violence.
It will affect eight sailings starting from October 2018 and HAL said it would replace Acapulco with calls at other Mexican ports.
These comprise seven Panama Canal sailings and one South America itinerary.
"The safety of our guests is our top priority," HAL said, adding that customers have already been notified.
Guerrero state and Acapulco itself has been hit by serious drug-related violence in recent years.
Very few incidents initially impacted tourists due to a strong security cordon in and around the tourist areas and beaches, but since 2016 a string of gun battles and killings have taken place amid the high rise hotels and even right on the beach.
