Holidaymakers planning to jet off overseas are facing a chaotic half-term with wholesale cancellations and heavy road congestion. The weekend saw huge hour-long lines at several airports, with easyJet and TUI apologising for cancelled services.

EasyJet scrapped more than 200 flights scheduled from London Gatwick over the next week

There were last-minute flight cancellations and delays for TUI customers, because of ‘various operational and supply chain issues’
