Hawaiian Airlines workers arrested for firearm thefts from passenger bags

Three Hawaiian Airlines employees have been arrested for the alleged theft of firearms from checked bags.
In June and July two separate thefts took place in Kahului of legally declared firearms and both were later reported to Hawaiian Airlines and the Maui Police Department.
After a police investigation which also included federal agents from the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms & Explosives, three ramp agents were arrested.
The names of the accused and any charges have not yet be disclosed.
Under suspicion is a 28-year-old and 29-year-old from Wailuku, and a 52-year-old man from Kihei.
All three have been employed with Hawaiian for at least 10 years and have been placed on leave without pay.
