HRG unveils internal ‘green’ initiatives
Hogg Robinson Group (HRG) has received ISO 14001 certification in Germany and the Nordic countries for its commitment to environmental responsibilities.
At the same time, HRG in the UK has been awarded a grant from The Carbon Trust to carry out a series of energy audits across its offices.
Starting this month the audits aim to identify specific actions for HRG UK, helping the company reduce its energy consumption and overall carbon footprint.
The grant follows the establishment of a ‘green’ working group – HRGreen – of staff who have a passion for environmental issues.
HRG regional president Reto Bacher said: “Although HRG’s own activities do not pose a serious environmental or ecological threat, we recognise the importance of our environmental responsibilities and are committed to the conservation of natural resources and complete compliance with local and national legislation.”
