Industry mourns loss of sales director
Michael Stevens, director of global sales for the Affordable Travel Group, passed away on Saturday.
Close friend and colleague Angela Day, managing director of Affordable Car Hire, said he had fought pneumonia for several weeks but sadly his body could not fight it any more.
“During the time Michael and I worked together, I found him not only an absolute pleasure to work with, but an aspiring lovely man with a very large kind heart,†she said.
“The industry has lost a valuable asset and so many of us have lost a very dear friend.â€
The funeral details have yet to be confirmed but are expected to be in the Nottingham area.
“Once I have further details I shall be in touch and should anyone wish to attend to pay their last respects, I would be grateful if you could let me know,†added Day.
“God bless Michael you will be dearly missed.â€
