InteleTravel heads to Belfast for 2022 conference
Fast-growing home-working firm InteleTravel will convene in Belfast for its 2022 conference.
It will be hosted at the city’s iconic Assembly Buildings from September 29 – October 1.
The agency group is heading for a record year with sales up 53% for the first four months of the year, compared with the same period in 2021.
The InteleTravel Quest (ITQ) conference will be themed ‘Beyond The Boundaries’ to encourage agents to think creatively.
The destination host and sponsor is Tourism Ireland, which is aiming to promote the culinary and musical attractions of Ireland.
Belfast has recently become a UNESCO City of Music, celebrating the city’s rich musical heritage.
“Tourism Ireland is delighted that InteleTravel has chosen Belfast and we’ll be extending a warm welcome to all delegates this September, “ said Julie Wakley, Tourism Ireland’s Head of Great Britain.
“We look forward to showcasing all [our] wonderful experiences to our travel agent guests, so they can develop new and exciting programmes.”
The conference reception will be held at the world’s only official Game of Thrones studio tour, now one of the top attractions in Northern Ireland.
The gala dinner will be held at Belfast City Hall, a palatial civic building in Donegall Square, which first opened its doors in 1906.
The headline sponsor for ITQ is Virgin Voyages, which made its debut at the InteleTravel Conference in 2021.
InteleTravel UK director Tricia Handley-Hughes said: “Strong growth and impressive high individual transactions have positioned us well for the remainder of 2022.”
“Having emerged from the pandemic we have all learned so much and will use this knowledge to fine-tune the education and training for agents.”
