Hawaiian carrier Island Air said it will waive any change fees for customers planning to travel over the weekend amid the looming presence of tropical storm Ana.
Any changes must be made prior to the original departure time for flights booked between Thursday and Sunday.
The airline which is owned by tech billionaire Larry Ellison, has asked customers to check their flight status on the company’s website.
It will post rolling updates on its travel advisory webpage and social media channels.
Hawaiian Airlines has also agreed to waive any change fees for its customers.
Ana will be the second major storm to hit the Aloha state this year after Iselle and the National Weather Service has issued a flood watch for the Big Island on Friday.
Residents should prepare for power outages, fallen trees and flash floods said National Weather Service forecaster Chris Brenchley.
