Israel opening borders to tour groups this month
Israel will start opening up to foreign tourists from 14 countries later this month.Starting 23 May, travellers from the UK, France, Germany, Italy, Malta, Iceland, Denmark, Ireland, Portugal, New Zealand, Australia, Singapore, Hong Kong and the US will be granted access, but initially only as part of tour groups.
A negative PCR test is required before travel and on arrival travellers will have to take a second PCR test and a serological test. Tour groups will be accompanied by vaccinated guides and drivers.
Tourism Minister Orit Farkash-Hacohen said individual travellers will likely be allowed in from July.
