Issenberg appointed chairman of Accor Asia Pacific
SYDNEY – Michael Issenberg has taken over from David Baffsky as chairman of Accor Asia Pacific.
Baffsky is stepping down to be honorary chairman, an ambassadorial role although he will still play an active part in major partnerships and deals.
Issenberg will take over as chairman and chief operating officer.
Baffsky has pioneered Accor’s expansion in the Asia Pacific region and is a previous Jones Lang LaSalle Asia Pacific Hotelier of the Year’.
He is a member of the executive committee of the CARE Australia Corporate Council, an active supporter of the Royal Flying Doctor Service and co-chairman of the National Indigenous Leadership Group for Tourism who was recognised for his service to tourism and the community in 2001, being made an Officer in the General Division of the Order of Australia.
