JetBlue announces Newark service to the Dominican Republic

JetBlue is launching a new leisure route to the Dominican Republic.

New nonstop daily leisure flights will connect Newark with Santo Domingo’s Las Americas International Airport beginning May 3, 2018.

Seats are already open for sale and the route will be flown by on 150-seat Airbus A320 aircraft.

JetBlue already serves the five airports there: La Romana, Puerto Plata, Punta Cana, Santiago as well as Santo Domingo.

It operates the most daily flights of all US carriers and flies there 10 times a day out of New York.

The Santo Domingo flight becomes JetBlue’s fourth Caribbean route from Newark after Santiago, San Juan and Barbados.

The new route is still awaiting the necessary regulatory approvals.
