Kingfisher flying east with new routes
SINGAPORE – India’s Kingfisher Airlines will launch daily non-stop flights from Hong Kong to Mumbai on September 16 and from Singapore to Mumbai one day later. The flights will be operated using new Airbus A330-200s.
Siva Ramachandran, Kingfisher vice president, global sales, said,
“Hong Kong and Singapore are very important for us and with the support of our general sales agents in both these markets, we are confident of capturing and growing the market.â€
Kingfisher Airlines flight IT 030 will take off from Singapore Changi Airport’s Terminal 3 at 10:15 am and arrive at 1:05 pm in Mumbai. The return fight IT 029 will take off from Mumbai at 11:05 pm and arrive at Singapore at 7:05 am, local time.
Kingfisher Airlines is planning for six new overseas routes, including New Delhi – London.
There are plans for flights from New Delhi to Bangkok and to Dubai. Also in the pipeline are flights from Mumbai to Bangkok, Dubai and Colombo.
