Numerous AirAsia and Malaysia Airlines flights departing Kuala Lumpur in the next four days are being retimed as authorities close KL’s airspace.
The airlines have notified passengers of the retimed flights due to an aerial survey being conducted by authorities.
Airspace will be closed to all commercial aircraft for one hour periods at 11.00am and again at 2.00pm each day from September 26-29.
AirAsia said it will retime some of the affected flights to depart earlier and some later.
"AirAsia and AirAsia X have notified all affected guests via email and SMS, and would like to encourage all guests travelling during the mentioned dates and times to check their registered emails and mobile numbers for retime notifications," the carrier said in a statement.
"All guests are also encouraged to perform self check-in via web and mobile and have their boarding passes printed before arriving at klia2."
Malaysia Airlines also issued a similar statement for its customers.
