Marketing reshuffle at lastminute.com
Lastminute.com European managing director and chief marketing officer Simon Thompson is leaving next month.
In his time at lastminute, Thompson oversaw a restructure of the agency’s European operation that lead to redundancies.
He is joining Apple as online store director EMEA.
His position is not being directly replaced, but Mark Newton has been brought in to become European marketing director.
Newton, who joins from American Express, will report directly to Ian McCaig, lastminute.com chief executive.
Mark Fells, who joined lastminute.com in April, remains UK marketing director.
